In January 1997, as I was about to fall asleep, I closed my eyes and what I saw was like a wide screen movie. I wasn’t “there” at the scene but it was being acted out and I was watching it. As I was watching the words of the song by Petra: This Means War! underscored the vision:

Kenaniah of the Levites appointed by the king
To teach the songs of Zion, to lead them as they sing
Your song is not forgotten, we hear it in our souls
Let it burn and burn within us
And fan the sacred coals

Kenaniah, Kenaniah, we will sing your ancient song
Kenaniah, we will sing it loud and strong

Gathered for the battle, Kenaniah led the way
As the singers closely followed him they all began to pray
The musician all assembled, Kenaniah gave the word
Through the raging battle zone the anthem could be heard

Kenaniah, Kenaniah, we will sing your ancient song
Kenaniah, we will sing it loud and strong

Sing unto Jehovah of His wonderous ways
Sing a song of triumph, sing a victory song
And in the cloud of witnesses Kenaniah sings along

Kenaniah, Kenaniah, through the ages it will ring
Kenaniah, to Jehovah we will sing

I was watching a ballet but I could only clearly see One person. Others were there but I just had the impression of their presence. There was a Man dressed in a ballet costume with a sword. Not a rapier or a short broad sword, but the long straight ones wider than a rapier—a double edged sword! He was constantly fighting back the enemy, who continued to lose ground to Him. The enemy was a host fighting as one body and behind the Man was the rest of his army fighting with him, but I never saw the enemy or the army. I felt like it was almost time for the curtain to be drawn and the play to begin. But it wasn’t time just yet.

The Lord reminded me of:

Joel 3:9-16
Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare a war; rouse the mighty men! Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up! Beat your plowshares into swords, And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, “I am a mighty man.” Hasten and come, all you surrounding nations, And gather yourselves there. Bring down, O Lord, Thy mighty ones. Let the nations be aroused And come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, For there I will sit to judge All the surrounding nations. Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and moon grow dark, And the stars lose their brightness. And the Lord roars from Zion And utters His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens and the earth tremble. But the Lord is a refuge for His people And a stronghold to the sons of Israel.

It is now January 1999, two years since this I experienced this vision. The time has now come—

Prepare for war! BACK_TO_TOP
