In 1987 the Lord put a vision in our hearts to preach the Good News in our surrounding communities in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. The strategy He gave us was to go and plant seeds in the various towns through song and testimony, sowing with a view to a harvest at a future time, when He would again direct us to go forth as laborers for the harvest. As we embraced the word of the Lord, our hearts filled with zeal and passion for the lost.

In faith, our minstrel team embarked on the journey, reaching out from our base in Morrisville, Vermont. At the time, this ministry team was called “The Remnant” based on the scripture in Isaiah 10 verse 21:

“A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.”

and again in Zephaniah chapter 3 verses 12 and 13:

“And they will take refuge in the name of the Lord. The remnant of Israel…”

For eight years now we have been holding prayer meetings at least five mornings a week. We pray for our families, the church, the poor, those who have yet to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus.

Recently, we heard the call from above to go forth into the land and proclaim the Love of Jesus with song and testimony. Hopefully, we are a bit more mature and responsive to the needs of the people wherever we go. We are now the No Compromise! Band because that is our hearts’ desire—to have only the love of Christ control us (2 Corinthians 5:14).

Every concert has had a different theme, such as Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Come to the Light, Love Is All You Need, etc., but the message has always been the same— Jesus is the answer. Many testimonies have been shared of how Jesus has turned our lives into one of purpose and one of Hope. We want to tell everybody about the love of Jesus, and some of the ways the Lord has given us to do that is through these concerts with song, music and drama.

Most of the songs that we use the Lord has given us through the things that we have experienced and the trials He has brought us through. 1 John 1:3 explains it this way:

“What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, that you also may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.”

The gifts and talents that the Lord has given us, He has freely given and we freely offer. In one of Keith Green’s songs he says, “There’s nothing I want to try and sell you, ’cause His love is free.”

We want everyone to be able to hear about the love of Jesus and this is the reason that our concerts are Absolutely Free!

And now we will sing
Of the coming King
Until the end, we’ll preach the cross
And give the gospel to the lost
Forevermore we’ll lift His name
And tell the world…that Jesus Saves!
