Rock_n’_Roll
by Grace Maniatty

I stood in the rhythm of the rock and roll
Feeling it all wash over my soul
Wondering at the meaning of it all
That’s when I began to fall…
All fall down

Crumpled like Humpty Dumpty
When did this world become so empty
Friends said “We’re livin’ in the land of plenty!”
How do you let them down gently
Let them down

I’ve got this hunger, but the waves keep pulling me under
To be torn asunder like pirates plunder
You see, I’ve got this hunger, but the waves keep pulling me under
To be torn asunder like pirates plunder

Now I see through the mirror dimly
Then I will see the truth more clearly
Tearing down the walls, removing the veils
Knowing that if all else fails
I cry out

And You find me where I am
And You pick me up and take me by the hand
And grace falls down like golden rain from above
And mercy falls like sweet, sweet water on my tongue
