Freedom To Know Him and Make Him Known!
I was with a bunch of other people from the church, mostly the youth.
We were all looking around inside some kind of museum at many different
things. The museum looked more like a large warehouse than a museum, and
Roy W. was there bringing us through the place, explaining many things
to us as we walked.
After a while we began to look at some kind of time line of the ways
to get around a certain event that started way back in history.
We were looking at the many different ways that people had invented over
the years to try to avoid it. The more that we looked at the time line
the more I realized that the things I saw were the worlds wisdom.
I noticed that Roy was getting the same revelation in his spirit, that
this was a waste of time, so we decided to get to the end of this time
period and go talk with the man working there. We knew we needed to go
to his office that was located at the end of this time line which followed
a long wide hallway. As we walked down his hallway, we eventually made
it to the office. Roy and I went into his office, a small room located
just above the floor of the museum, and found the man we were looking
for. After a little while he encouraged us to go back into the museum
and look around some more before we left. However, as we went back into
the museum through the little office door, there were many more people
looking around, people that were not there before. When we had joined
the others who were outside of the office, the man shut the door behind
us, and I had a feeling that we were not going to go back through that
door again. I was very relieved since this mans purpose was to seduce
people by sharing facts about each thing in the museum. I was very glad
to leave his presence.
We were now back inside the museum in this one big open space with about
a hundred different people of all ages. Some were walking around while
others were standing still, but none of them seemed to know what to do.
I noticed six other men, guards. Some were there directing people back
down the long hall and others seemed to be standing there just making
sure that no one tried to go back through the office door from where we
had just come. Many of the people there were methodically moving along
with the majority of the crowd back down the hall as the guards motioned
them in that direction. I noticed that the guards werent pushing
people around, but only tried to persuade them to go back down the hall,
yet if the people didnt want to go, the guards didnt bother
them since they knew they had no power over them.
I became separated from the rest of our youth group and was left on my
own, not knowing where to go. I had absolutely no interest in going back
down the hall, and I felt that that would be the worst place for me to
go. As I looked around, I began to see more clearly where I was and what
I could do. I saw a large door that was over to my right set high above
the main floor-about twenty feet. On the opposite wall was a storage rack
reaching from floor to ceiling with boxes of every size and shape piled
on all the shelves. The only way to get to this door was to pass by the
storage rack and climb up a long, steep staircase onto a small platform
directly in front of the Door. The door was partially open and light from
outside was shining through, so I decided to make my way over to the stairs.
I passed quickly through many people who all seemed oblivious to this
door, and once I reached the stairs I climbed up. As I did this a few
of the youth saw me and followed. Roy came as well, and he gathered the
rest of youth he could find along the way. He told them that we all had
to get out of this place and led them over to the stairs with me.
When I reached the top of the stairs the door opened more and we moved
ourselves rather quickly through it, not wanting to draw the attention
of the guards. By this time I noticed that the door had no handles on
either side and that it was very heavy. It was a huge Door and seemed
to be made of solid metal. When it opened it moved very slowly because
of its weight and size. Once I knew I was safely outside the building
and in the parking lot, I looked around to see if everyone else was with
me. As soon as I noticed some people missing, Roy and I dashed right back
through the door onto the platform and tried to call to the people in
our group, and to anyone else there who would hear us. (At this point
it no longer mattered if the guards heard me or not, however they seemed
to not even notice because their attentions were focused elsewhere.) In
my spirit I felt that the door was not going to be open for long, so I
made haste in trying to get as many people out as I could.
I was now more concerned for everybody there, rather than just those in
our group. I called down to the people who were nearest the stairs who
didnt know where to go, and pleaded with them to climb up and get
out. A few of them heard me and noticed the stairs, but they had a difficult
time climbing because of the increased number of people, some lugging
their boxes with them, all trying to go up at once. I tried to reach down
to help some of the ones who were near the top, because many of them were
having trouble getting onto the platform. These people seemed to know
that this door was their only way out and that it was life or death for
them to reach the top.
Unfortunately, only a few made it in time to get out the door. I heard
Roy call to me saying that we needed to leave now, before the door shut
itself. As he yelled, Come on! I ran through the door, reluctantly
leaving behind those who were not ready. As I watched it begin to close,
my heart sank because I knew that there were still very many people inside
the building who didnt have time to get out, or who just didnt
see the open door, and were left behind. Finally the door closed very
tightly, shutting all the commotion inside the museum.
I was now outside with Roy and the youth (I saw the K. kids, Melissa and
Israel C., Emily and Nathan W., Stephania M., Sarah K.), and a few other
people who had squeezed through the door. As we were all standing around
I saw Owen C., Bob K., and John M. heading to a house that was right next
to us. This house was actually the main entrance to the museum and it
contained the office that Roy and I had been in. Roy stayed outside with
the youth, while Bob, Owen and John walked right into the house not fearing
anything that might happen, but set on a mission, full of the power of
the Holy Spirit and radiating His Presence. All that John said was Wait
here! so we waited for him. I somehow knew that he was going in
to reopen the door and try to get more people out, because the door had
not been left open long enough. So I watched in expectation.
In about a minute the door opened again from the inside, and the people
next to the Door were overjoyed to see the light from outside coming through
the opening. However, only a few had stayed on the platform after the
door shut the first time. Many more had changed their minds, becoming
convinced to go back down the long hallway. How I had longed for them
to see the Light that led to the outside, but they had failed to hear
my pleas and only listened to the guards like zombies. A few of us from
the outside went back in to help more people get out, and one of them
was Sarah K..She was exuberant in her effort to help as many people out
as she could, and because of this many more were lead through the door.
I also wanted to help as many people out as I could because I felt that
we had a little more time now than we did the first time.
While Sarah and I were helping people up, something to my left caught
my attention for a minute. About half way down the wall I noticed a couple
of the guards trying to get at a large handle that I understood was used
to open and close the door. They saw that the door had opened once again,
without their knowledge or understanding. I heard them say, How
did this get opened again? as they pulled at the handle trying to
get it shut again. But it wouldnt budge. I knew that the door would
stay open just long enough for all of us to get out, but when the time
came to go, we would have to go immediately!
Then I saw John and the other two elders quickly walking along the lower
floor, moving toward the staircase, they were unseen by the guards or
the mass of people who were standing around or moving back down the long
hallway. It was then that I realized that the guards main focus
was on the lever that opened and closed the door, and not on the door
itself. They were intent on trying to keep the door shut and they had
no idea that we were even on the staircase climbing out. Even though the
hall and stairs were full of people, the elders were able to pass through
the crowd and walk up the stairs as if there were nobody else on them.
Sarah and I tried to rush the others on the stairs, encouraging them to
climb up as fast as they could before the big door would close once again.
Everything was happening very quickly as Sarah and I called out to as
many people who would hear us. Sadly, there were some people on the main
level who finally heard us, but I knew it was too late for them to make
it up the stairs before the door would shut again. However, many additional
people were continually moving through the door to the outside, while
others had slipped and fallen back to the bottom of the stairs. Sarah
was vigorously pulling up the people who had reached the top and leading
them out when I looked down again to see the guards still trying to work
the handle that made the big door shut. This time it was moving and I
was certain that we had to leave, so I said to her, We have to go,
The elders were all outside now as the door started to slowly shut. A
few more people were able to make their way through it. I said to Sarah
again, with great urgency, We have to go, NOW! and turned
to leave all those who were still there trying to make their way to the
door. As I stepped outside the door I looked back to see if Sarah was
coming, but she was still trying to help people up and out. She knew that
the door was shutting, but she just couldnt leave the people behind.
Again I called to her, SARAH! She then turned to me and I
reached my hand between the door and the wall to pull her out, past the
other people who were still stuck inside. The door was nearly closed shut
by now. From the outside all that I could see, was my arm reaching inside
the door to her, and as I pulled it out I thought that I had lost her.
Just then I saw her push open the mighty door with a heavenly strength.
It opened barely wide enough to let her out and she swiftly moved through
the opening. Once she was out safely, the door closed quick and hard against
We were now outside the museum and I was drained of all the strength and
energy that I had only moments earlier. Everything around me was quiet
and still, but there was joy in the air. I could see a few people who
had just come out of the museum walking slowly away from the door to find
the others who had made it out. About fifty feet in front of me was a
group of people that I recognized from my church, but it seemed like a
dream to me. I had no idea who had made it out and who was left inside.
I saw many of the youth again, along with the F. family, who were all
huddled in this group. And the elders, who were just a few feet in front
of me, were walking together. I could tell that the youth and the Fs.
were looking around for someone in particular amongst all the people who
had just made it through the door. Then Regina looked up at me and cried,
There she is! It seemed that I was the only one that they
were still looking for and they thought that I had gotten stuck inside.
They all turned and looked at me and I excitedly returned their glances.
From the center of the group I saw Jamie L., my closest friend, move out
to see if what they were all saying was true. As she and the others turned
and saw me, her face was full of a deep hope and longing that broke into
joy and relief. When I saw that she was also safe, my heart was filled
will all kinds of emotions and I wanted to just run over and embrace her,
yet I was overwhelmed with all the things that had just happened and I
had no strength left. So, I fell to the dirt on my knees and crumbled
into my hands weeping as my spirit cried out with joy!!!
A short time later the Lord brought me back into the museum to observe
what had happened to those who had embraced some of the many ways
to get around the cross and it was a mournful sight. They were all
dressed in the same clothes: black overalls with white tee-shirts underneath.
They had a hollow look on their faces and were bound to remain, moving
from prison cell to the time line of the ways to get around the
cross, and back to prison cells, over and over again until they
returned once more to the Door of Life.
Interpretation and Insights
This prophetic event was a picture of the Bride coming forth and her heart
being transformed to only desire her Bridegroom and His purposes. As the
Bride discovered her freedom to know Him, that same freedom compelled
her to proclaim the Way of freedom to others. She began to more and more
live out the heart of her Bridegroom and His desire became her desire-His
command became her life.
This dream was populated with many, many youth of all ages! The Lord is
always looking for those with a child-like faith (Matthew 10:15), children
who will follow His voice. The young are flexible, able to receive His
new wine. They are able to learn, are studious and are humbly teachable.
That is the opposite of the old (in their heart) who are set in their
ways, and of course, who believe their ways are right!
The young at heart are fearless in following the Bridegroom. They are
strong, having not forgotten the mercy and forgiveness of the Lamb. His
Bride will certainly be much younger than Himself-a child Bride, a young
Bride full of the exuberance of youth, undaunted by the task ahead.
The Time Line
This dream seemed to be a snapshot of history, from the Garden to the
present and man's journey through the Door Himself into His Kingdom. The
contrast between mans way, the time line of ways to get around,
and Gods Way, the Tree of Life, our Lord Jesus, was dramatic. The
time line showcased the wisdom of man and left seekers of Truth empty,
pushing forward in their search for The Truth. They instinctively knew
that Truth, by its very nature, had to be eternal and could not be centered
on man. The seekers of knowledge had plenty of ideas, opinions and philosophies
with which to keep themselves occupied so that they did not even seem
to notice that they still were not satisfied.
The hallway had two avenues, a broad one, beginning at the Tree of the
Knowledge of Good and Evil, containing all the earthly wisdom and religious
beliefs that the world offers, and a narrow one proceeding from the Tree
of Life to the Door (Matthew 7:13), possessing everything pertaining to
Life and godliness (2 Peter 1:2-3).
The Museum and the Warehouse
It was not surprising to us that much of what we saw took
place in a museum, after all, a museum is all of mans knowledge
put together to form what they think happened. However, it has been pieced
together devoid of the Creator and only serves as a caricature of the
Truth. A museum is full of lifeless things from the past: dead history
that people try to preserve forever-mans continuing attempt to live
The warehouse aspect of the building brought to mind todays shopping
trends of wholesale warehouses where the lust of the flesh and the
lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life (1 John 2:16) can
be indulged as never before. Many churches today even proclaim the same
thing, We have something for everyone! The Truth has always
been a narrow Way and is getting narrower as we grow up in all aspects
into Him, who is the head, even Christ (Ephesians 4:15).
Roy spent his time explaining history in light of having eaten from the
Tree of Life. He was able to explain the garden, the cross and the unsurpassing
value of personally knowing Jesus from his own life. It was not surprising
to find Roy in this capacity, representing those who have experienced
new life after experiencing near religious death. Roy has
again become young in heart and flexible and has therefore been able to
lead others to new wine. Take heart all who have stumbled-He is a Redeemer!
The museum/warehouse manager expounded all the alternative views of life.
He spoke from the depth of understanding he had gained by feasting from
the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. He was a man of compromise
who diligently tried to persuade people to add distractions(added
attractions) to their lives to prevent them from embracing Jesus with
their whole hearts. He knew that seeking after knowledge makes man temporarily
feel better about himself (1 Corinthians 8:1) and who he is. By the time
a person began to be disappointed with his latest distraction, the museum/warehouse
manager was always there ready to show him something new. The manager
was the evil one's last line of defense.
Doors were very prominent in this dream. The office door was quite a little
door and the doors to the prison cells were even smaller. As the bride
began to look away from the attracting distractions behind
all of the other doors, she saw a previously unnoticed Door at the top
of a narrow staircase high up on the wall. It was a large Door. As she
drew near the Door she began to notice its character (By this time I noticed
that the door had no handles on either side and that it was very heavy.)
and it now appeared to be a huge Door. As the Bride began to give herself
to the purpose of the Lord, the Door became fully revealed as a Mighty
Initially the Door appeared to be open only a crack yet so much of His
Glory was shining through that the Bride could not take her eyes off it.
As she drew nearer she found that the door was open more than she had
first realized. When she reached the platform, the Door was open wide
enough to easily pass through and His Glory was flooding through. The
closer we get to the Father and His heart, the more our eyes are opened
and our hearts purified to see more of His glory (Matthew 5:8), and to
know Him who is the Way to go. It seems clear that as we draw near to
Him, He draws near to us and we begin to see Him as He really is (James
The Storage Rack
Everyone had to pass by this storage rack to climb the stairs. These stairs
were narrow and very steep and it would have been impossible for anyone
to make it to the top while clutching a box (Matthew 19:24). The boxes
needed to be left behind on the rack to make the journey and there was
no one there to help place the boxes in the rack, each person had to put
away their own box. These boxes were full of the artifacts of pride and
arrogance: philosophies, opinions, deceptions and theory-ologies. Those
who tried to climb with their boxes had slipped and fallen back
to the bottom of the stairs. We cannot ascend the stairs to follow
the Way through the Door while we are still clutching our self-righteous
ways (Psalm 24:3-4).
For those who climb the stairs and decide the passageway through the Door
requires too much sacrifice (2 Corinthians 5:14-15), the boxes are still
where they left them. This is the integrity of our God, always giving
us the freedom to follow or not. We can still go back and pick up our
old ways but the result (They were all dressed in the same clothes: black
overalls with white tee-shirts underneath. They had a hollow look on their
faces and were bound to remain in the prison cells until they returned
once again to the Door of Life.) is often more time in a prison cell and
always worse than the first state (2 Peter 2:20).
The Large Handle
The guards (the religionists of every age and every fresh move of God)
would periodically try to close the Door. This has happened many times
as men have come up with alternatives to the Way and the Truth and the
Life. Each time when it appeared that god is dead the Lord
raised up His people to go forth and proclaim the Truth and the Door would
be revealed once again. There has never been a moment when the Door was
not available to His creation. What seems like darkness is only the moment
before His Glory bursts forth once again.
The guards had no real control over the handle (Revelation 3:7), they
only thought they did. The Lord Himself controls the seasons of rain,
the seasons of winds, the seasons of sunshine, and the seasons of clouds.
In the midst of these seasons, a single Word is always heard ringing forth,
behold, now is the acceptable time, behold, now is the day of salvation.
Lets not be deceived by the empty words of the guards,
but instead embrace His Word. And if we find that we have been lulled
to sleep by religion, or that the Word has been choked out by the worries
and riches and pleasures of this life, then lets wake up and
live completely for Him once again!
Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making
the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish,
but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:14-17
Concern for the Lost
We see a clear picture of the Bride being drawn away from the philosophies
and distractions of the world, to the true Light and finally through the
Door Himself. We watch her eyes clearing as she is able to view with clarity
what is important to Him!
In the beginning she was mainly concerned with her personal welfare, not
wanting to get caught in the time line herself. As she began to take her
eyes off the time line and herself, she discovered the Door, and she began
to move in His direction. She then began to see the strategies of the
enemy and called out to those around (no longer focused on herself) to
come with her.
After passing through the Door the first time, her concern grew and she
was burdened for almost everyone that she saw-but always with her heart
set on the Light coming through the Door. As she poured herself out she
became so one with the Lamb that even though she desired to embrace one
of her closest friends, Jamie LaBrie (representing horizontal relationship),
she was overwhelmed by her passion (representing vertical relationship)
for the Lamb (I fell to the dirt on my knees and crumbled into my hands
weeping as my spirit cried out with joy!!!)
The Exuberance of Sarah
Sarah was a picture of the Bride finally carrying the burden of the Lord
for those who are perishing (John 3:16; 1 John 3:16). Giving her life
as He gave His. Have you heard His call? His call remains the same: Know
Me and Make Me Known!
You are My witnesses, declares the Lord, And My servant
whom I have chosen, In order that you may know and believe Me, and understand
that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none
after Me. I, even I, am the Lord; And there is no savior besides Me. It
is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, and there was no strange
god among you; So you are My witnesses, declares the Lord, And
I am God. Even from eternity I am He; And there is none who can deliver
out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it? Isaiah 43:10-13
We were also reminded of what the Lord said to Rick Joyner during a vision
that he had: Will you share my heart to go save the lost? Will you
help me fill this room? Will you help to fill these thrones, and every
other seat in this hall? Will you take up this quest to bring joy to heaven,
to Me and to My Father? This judgment is for my household, and my house
is not full. The last battle will not be over until My house is full.
Only then will it be time to redeem the earth, and remove the evil from
My creation. If you drink My cup you will love the lost the way that I
love them. The Final Quest by Rick Joyner, page 119
The People Inside
We are reminded of the parable of the sower (Luke 8:11-15), because of
the four different groups of people that we saw:
1. The people who were going back down the hall not hearing our calls
to them are like those who were deceived by the enemy so they could not
be saved. the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart,
so that they may not believe and be saved (Luke 8:12).
2. The people who were standing around not knowing where to go and the
people standing around the stairs who heard and saw the door, but failed
to make it to the top during the time of testing, were like the ones who
receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe
for a while, and in time of temptation fall away. (Luke 8:13)
3. The people who saw the door and tried to climb the stairs, but fell,
and the people who finally heard the invitation and saw the door, but
were too late in making it to the stairs; these are the ones who
have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and
riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity
(Luke 8:14). They tried to carry their boxes with them and missed the
revelation of the Lord because of that. They also seemed the most distracted
by other things, even while they were just standing around, and took no
time to prepare themselves for Him (Matthew 25:1-13).
4. The people who made it to the top and through the door were the final
group in the parable, these are the ones who have heard the word
in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance
The People Outside
The people that were outside were fifty feet away from the museum. The
year of Jubilee! was to be consecrated every 50 years:
You shall have the fiftieth year as a jubilee; you shall not sow,
nor reap its aftergrowth, nor gather in from its untrimmed vines. For
it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat its crops out
of the field. Leviticus 25:11-12
In the Jubilee Year as in each seventh Sabbatical Year in Israel, the
land was allowed to rest, and no one could claim to own the produce in
the fields. Not only that, no produce could be stored for future use.
It was a time of total rest and trust in God. In addition, in the Jubilee
Year all hired workers and all bondslaves were to be set free (Leviticus
25:39-54). This was unconditional liberty! And all land had to be returned
to its original owner-the Creator of the Universe!
What a time of redemption and freedom! Everyone was waiting expectantly
for the the Bride to come forth in her glory, however, even more so for
the final Jubilee to appear-the Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus Himself!
John, Owen, and Bob have been working together in our midst for many years,
so it was not surprising that they were in the dream. We have always believed
in extra-local men laboring among the people of God and the spiritual
knitting that happens between fellowships through this. The mix of believers
representing all three of the fellowships serves to strengthen our understanding
of the Lords purpose for us in these days.
John represents the prophetic revelation that the Lord gives for war (Amos
3:7), Owen represents the spiritual authority the Lord gives to wage war
on His behalf (2 Corinthians 13:10), and Bob represents the continual
flow of love and worship that keeps all focused on the Bridegroom in the
midst of war (Psalm 91). Their combined giftings allowed them to face
the enemy head on (they entered through the front door to his office)
and to disarm him, freeing the Lords creation to come through the
Door once again. The Lord will always expose the enemy's strategies to
those whom He has invested responsibility in. We need extra-local teams
that will function together in this manner.
And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of
three strands is not quickly torn apart. Ecclesiastes 4:12
The Door Himself!
The Door is an ongoing invitation to Come! His Glory is always
showing through to those who are looking for Him. As we ascend to Him,
the eyes of our hearts are enlightened and we are able to see the vastness
of His Love and Mercy toward all who believe. People who are oblivious
to the Door and His Glory are not looking for The Truth (that which is
eternal), having already settled for truth (that which seems right unto
man). Those who seek Him, find Him (Luke 11:9-10). There will come a day
when the Door is closed to this age. We say, Come, Lord Jesus. The
grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen (Revelation 22:20-21).
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice
and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and
he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me
on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
