This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. James 1:27

A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows is God in His holy habitation. Psalm 68:5

In 1994, after the Lord began to make available to our fellowship food to distribute on a widespread basis to those in need, it became apparent that we needed to provide for those widows who are the mothers of people in our local body. We called it the “Widows Circuit.” It was our intention to visit these widows every few weeks and bring food to them, thereby demonstrating God’s love and care for them in a practical way.

As we have visited these widows desiring to be an agent of God’s blessing, we have been blessed in greater ways than we would have imagined. We have been privileged to hear them relate stories about their lives and experiences, which reflect the character of a generation whose hardships and values have been all but forgotten. We have found devoted wives and mothers who have poured out their lives for their families, neighbors, and members of the community.

We take opportunities to communicate to them the good news that Jesus has poured out His life on their behalf so that they can have a relationship through Him with their Father in heaven. Our friendships have deepened, and our visits continue. Please pray with us on their behalf that they will personally come to know the One

Who redeems your life from the pit; Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Psalm 103:4-5
